Monorail Trikes

Sorry, the Monorail has been discontinued.
Trident's newest trike is the 2012 Monorail. The Monorail is a single cantilevered  flat fold wheel model with a 24” rear wheel. No removing the rear wheel to change a tire or tube!  A 24" rear wheel gives you a perfect combination of strength, speed, acceleration & climbing ability. The problem has always been the availability of high quality tires. But now Kenda & Schwalbe , Panaracer -to mention a few- are making them again so it’s time for us in the industry to start marketing these 24″ Trikes.

The Monorail is available with your choice of seat- either a hardshell seat with Ventisit type pad and neckrest, or a mesh seat. Both seats have variable angle adjustment and adjustable seat height.  Along with a powder coated Chro- Moly frame, the Monorail trikes will have some exciting new features. They include a flat wheel fold and adjustable quick release handlebars. X seam ranges have also been increased  - the Monorail will accommodate riders with X seams from 35 1/2"-47 ¼" (900mm-1200mm ). Rounding out the new features are Avid BB7 disc brakes, bar end shifters  a new idler system which is as nice as anything any manufacturer makes, and finally a CNC machined rear derailleur – the Microshift Marvo XE.

As with all Trident trikes (except Spike)- we don’t charge you for the extras! Also included with both models are a rear rack, a full set of 3 fenders, a safety flag, brake levers with parking brakes, a Mirrycle mirror,  a rear light, pedals with toe clips, water bottle cage and a bell.

Optional bolt on side mounts are available for the rear rack, for those of you that want to mount panniers.

170mm crank arms are standard. Shorter 160 mm crank arms are available. In addition Trident has custom made some 152 mm crank arms sets that are also available.

Monorail is available by special order in Wasabi Green or Wolfpack Red, it usually takes about two weeks.
